Finding a new job can be stressful at the best of times and gaps in a persons C.V can seriously impact the ability to find employment.
Whilst you are between jobs, once you're a member of the Volunteer Centre you can put us on your C.V to fill the time that you are unemployed.
We will also give you a glowing reference for the time that you're a member of the volunteer centre if required. 

You'll get access to volunteering opportunities in your area if you wish to take part in order to gain new skills, explore industries that you have an interest in before committing to looking for a job, make a difference within your community and to stop you going stir crazy with nothing to fill your time with.

Once you have joined the Volunteer Centre you are not obligated to do any volunteer work but can still use us to fill gaps on your C.V and receive an awesome reference when you need one.

All for the cost of a small administration charge.

Finding employment can be a difficult thing to do at the best of times and having gaps in your work history can make things more difficult. Once you've signed up to the Volunteer Centre, we will give you tips and tricks from how to layout your C.V and make it as sexy as it can be so as to draw in prospective employers to how to tailor your application to the jobs you want. We will also give you techniques for making sure that your applications stand out from others. Once you've got yourself an interview we will guide you into creating great answers to interview questions. Talk to us about our one to one interview preparation service which is tailored to you and the job role you are interviewing for. Stuck in the same job for far to long? Wanting a new and exciting challenge within the same company or elsewhere? Talk to us about how we can support you to get the job you want!

Value in volunteering

As a member of the volunteer centre you are not obligated to volunteer. It's up to you if you wish to volunteer but there is real value to be gained through doing so. You can gain new skills whilst helping organisations who rely on donations to do the great work that they do. You can explore industries that you've never worked in to gain valuable experience to aid in your pursuit of a new and exciting job role. You can make a real difference to other peoples lives. We will present you with volunteering opportunities in your area so you can give it a go. for example, maybe you've wanted to work with animals but don't have the necessary experience. The volunteer Centre will put you in touch with opportunities relevant to your future aspirations.
