Why we do what we do

So many times, early in my adult life, I needed ULIA. Plain and simple. I needed that honest friend to tell me how it is, help me plan for the things I wanted to achieve and push me to succeed at each stage of the plan and at times, drag me out of the self-wallowing woe is me state of mind that at times I'd slip into. Like the surgeon (You) about to do all the hard work, ULIA is the assistant that when asked for a scalpel we pass you it and mop your brow when things get sweaty.

Equally, when things were going particularly well, I needed that pat on the back and encouragement to keep me on track with the master plan. Now I'm not talking about ego stroking, I'm talking about that genuine "nice one, well done" that we all need to reassure us that we are on course for success, negating self doubt that always tries to find a way to creep in.

It's also very easy for life to inadvertently pass you by. One moment the children are in nappies, blink and they're learning to drive and applying to university and you haven't developed or moved at a similar pace that they have. Planning and having support with your plan is the key to achieving all that you want. When I learnt to plan, break things down into manageable bite sized tasks, my career and personal life flourished.

It wasn't just me though. Everyone I spoke to could have done with ULIA in their corner at some point in their lives to help them succeed with their goals, be them big or small ambitions through good or difficult times. Ask yourself, could you do with someone who is totally devoted to pushing and motivating you to achieve all that you want to? Who Is honest and straight talking yet diplomatic and has your back whatever is going on? Who will actively listen to all you want to achieve then help you plan how you can achieve it?  Sound like something you could do with? Then ULIA is the answer.

We've all been there and snapped at loved ones who try to help. You then end up pushing them away and in turn you don't get the support you need to succeed. We will, if needed, irritate you into positive action. That nagging and pokey finger to the ribs (metaphorically of course) that you need to crack on and succeed. We will help you plan your goals and address all of your dreams and ambitions and help you to plan how you can succeed whilst factoring all the other things life puts in your way that previously you'd allow to stop you realising your true potential. Bite sized task based planning means you get things done.

As a senior manager & business leader, for over 25 years of my career I always adopted a people-centric approach to developing those around me to be the best versions of themselves they could be. In turn this meant that not only did the individuals grow both personally and professionally but they were happier, contented and motivated to succeed. All it took was listening and responding appropriately, genuinely caring about the individual and not treating everyone like they're all the same. One size doesn't fit all, we are all unique. What motivates one person may deter another. Learning how to use planning and available data to achieve goals is truly life changing and I love nothing more than sharing how to achieve this.

United life is awesome.
